The filmmaking team would like to thank all of you for helping our development efforts to write a feature film adaptation of Dr. Irene Pepperberg's book Alex & Me . The screenwriting process is now on a hiatus and we encourage you to continue to support the amazing research of Dr. Pepperberg by donating to The Alex Foundation. With your generous donations to this website, the writing team was able to produce a full screenplay by the expiration of our contract on December 1, 2011 but we have reluctantly decided to not renew at this time due to our obligations as Creators and Executive Producers on a new television documentary series for National Geographic Channel. It is our dream to one day make this movie and hope to see you again in the future.
